Premature Ejaculation Is Only The First Step – Pt1

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Eight months ago,

as I started my successful battle against premature ejaculation with Matt Wutzke’s Ejaculation Trainer, I was very frustrated.

Slowly but steadily, my sexual life was getting worse and worse, and with it at least a part of my relationship with my wife.

As I wrote in my review of Matt’s ebook, I had by the time read and bought any sort of crappy materials around, without being able to extend my performance by the slightest amount.

The first thing I did – that very night – was reading and implementing the techniques taught in the “first-aid” section of the book. It worked: I was able to last few minutes more and that gave me hope.

However – and this is the core message of this post – I was then very focused on lasting longer the stud way.

My whole sexual world revolved around performing in the sense most male stereotypes convey. I was totally focused on myself and my desire to match the macho model I thought I should be.

Satisfying my partner was just a reflex: what I really wanted was to feel able to satisfy her.

But then, reading Matt’s ebook, I went through a first important change: one of the key principles taught in the book is that

you have to focus on your sensations

Now, focusing on sensations may seem trivial or actually counterproductive but believe me actually isn’t. The point is that by focusing on your body and its sensations, you leave aside all your stereotypes, what you think you should feel, to leave room for what it exists in the now.

This gives you a whole new perspective and you start enjoying your performance rather than being worried about it.

Well, it looks like I’m going to expand this a bit…See you in part 2!!

P.S. – If you can’t wait just grab your copy of The Ejaculation Trainer and experience for yourself.
Or you can read my review for more details on Matt’s approach.

What Is Premature Ejaculation?

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

There are generally two ways to define it: one is clinical, the other one is more culture related.

If you release your semen even before penetration, then your ability to procreate is in danger and this is of course the most critical form of PE.

Lots of studies have been performed starting in the Fifties as to define where the limit of PE lies. This is because at the end of the day a quick sexual response is a positive trait from the evolutionary perspective: it assures that your genes have a possibility to spread with minimal effort and risk. Think about the fact that in the evolutionary scale, our last two millennia are but a very tiny fraction of the time we’ve been here.
Therefore, from a clinical standpoint, how can one say that “fast” is unhealthy? It can only surely be stated if ejaculation occurs before vaginal penetration, as I stated before.
Check the sources below for more information on the clinical aspect of the matter.

Horizontal Ruler

On the other hand, our minds and costumes evolve way faster than our biology, so that the sexual act transformed its meaning and acquired new ones. It is nowadays linked to a much broader sense of satisfaction, involving both partners. Now that the female partner comes into play, the whole game changes: feminine sensitivity is different from that of the male, and in the norm women have a “softer” climax curve, meaning that they don’t just turn on and reach the apex in a matter of minutes (well…on the average) like men seem to do. This poses to the men of these times the challenge of “softening” their curve: in other words, acquire control over their sexual reflex.

And here comes a “new” definition of premature ejaculation: you suffer from it if you’re not able to last the time required to satisfy your partner. As you see, this is quite a subjective definition: if you’re lucky and your partner turns on and climaxes quickly, you may never feel like you’re too fast.
But it may well happen that your partner needs – say – 10 minutes to climax, and you are able to last only 5. Well, this ain’t bad at all, for the average male (see studies linked below); nevertheless, your partner is still unsatisfied from intercourse so…What do you do?
The simplest and cheapest way to cope with this is to satisfy her first, with adequate foreplay. This has tremendous benefits both for the relationship and to “soften” your curve.
If you however want to learn to last longer, there’s good news for you: it can be done and I’m living proof of it. You’ll need to retrain your body to withstand higher and higher levels of stimulation, until you can delay your climax to match that of your partner.
I’m linking some good training materials you can check. However, remember: even good information is useless if you don’t put it into practice!!

How To Control Premature Ejaculation

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

Control premature ejaculation is absolutely possible. This article wants to give information on this very important topic by examining some myths under the light of recent scientific discoveries

Myth: Premature ejaculation is a disease:

Fact: Premature ejaculation does exist as a clinical diagnosis, but it is not a disease or illness. The root causes of premature ejaculation are still undetermined; however this phenomenon is in most cases the consequence of psychological issues, rather than physical ones.

Myth: I can control premature ejaculation by thinking about something not sexy:

Fact: The master way to control premature ejaculation is focusing more on your body, not less. The “distraction” method may occasionally work but is not a solution, since it takes you away for experiencing sexual pleasure. Instead, practice is key: nearly everybody can learn to both experience sex in full and control his ejaculation.

Myth: control premature ejaculation is a natural ability. You must be born with it.

Fact: No one is born with the ability to control premature ejaculation. As you will learn, early masturbatory experiences, along with other factors, shape a man’s sexual response and determine his awareness  of ejaculatory control; however ejaculation is an automatic reflex, and sort of like urination, the only way to control it is to learn how.

Myth: Being a premature ejaculator means you ejaculate within few minutes:

Fact: While some definitions of premature ejaculation include a specific time limit (in conjunction with other symptoms), control premature ejaculationl relates most often to the ability to satisfy your partner prior to needing to ejaculate. It is therefore largely a subjective matter.

Myth: Premature ejaculation is a rare condition, I’m the only man I know with it:

Fact: Premature ejaculation may well be the most widely spread male sexual dysfunction. According to the National Health and Social Life Survey (NHSLS) 30% of men can’t control premature ejaculation. You likely do know at least one, if not several, men who have had – at some point on their life – a not satisfying control over their ejaculation reflex. However very few men ever talk about it.

Myth: I can’t control premature ejaculation, premature ejaculation can’t be fixed:

Fact: There are several very successful ways to control premature ejaculation. In most cases men can learn to control ejaculation without drugs or medical intervention, by just following a simple set of exercises and taking action in order to rewire their ejaculatory response.

Myth: I have to wait until they develop a pill to treat premature ejaculation:

Fact: Behavioral methods are very effective in teaching men how to control premature ejaculation. They also have the benefits of increasing your understanding of your own sexual response, and of increasing sexual communication with your partner. There are currently no FDA approved medications to treat premature ejaculation.
