Ejaculation Premature

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

When is an ejaculation premature? Well, there’s really no common view about when to consider an ejaculation premature; however, let’s examine here what science has to say.
The scientific approach to when to consider ejaculation premature is to be recovered from statistical data and studies. These also vary! For instance, in UK, informal surveys gave a 10% of men reporting occasional or stable lack of control on their ejaculation. At the 2006 Congress of the European Society for Sexual Medicine, an American research paper reported:

  • an average lasting time of 1.8 minutes for men with ejaculation premature.
  • an average of 7.3 minutes for men with ejaculation “normal”.

Prof. Waldinger documented that 2.5% of men weren’t able to last 1.5 minutes inside the vagina. For those men undoubtedly is ejaculation premature.
Doctors in general classify ejaculation premature as either lifelong (primary) or acquired (secondary).
According to the International Society for Sexual Medicine, characteristics of lifelong ejaculation premature are:

  • Ejaculation that always or nearly always occurs within one minute or less of vaginal penetration
  • The inability to delay ejaculation on all or nearly all vaginal penetrations
  • Negative personal consequences, such as distress, frustration or the avoidance of sexual intimacy

In the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), published by the American Psychiatric Association, secondary ejaculation premature:

  • Is marked by persistent or recurrent ejaculation with minimal stimulation before, on, or shortly after penetration, and before you wish it
  • Causes personal distress or relationship problems
  • Develops after you’ve had previous, satisfying sexual relationships without ejaculatory problems

This is however pretty dry data, which is good for the analytical mind to gather some information, however doesn’t help you a bit in your problem. For instance, as I first read this information I was puzzled because I couldn’t actually fit in any of the categories above! Was my ejaculation premature? I certainly had distress for not being able to satisfy her, but had it developed after some particular event? This just didn’t fit into the picture. And, frankly, I’d rather avoid the embarrassment of telling this stuff to a professional…This is just very personal and I wanted to find a solution myself.
Moreover, I wasn’t ready to take on pills and creams and wear extra gadgets on my penis ;-)
I wanted a natural, sound way to fight my ejaculation premature. And I found it :-) In the Ejaculation Trainer I found the missing link between the two scientific forms of ejaculation premature, and finally understood how it all happened. From there, after you understand what lies underneath your condition, you can start taking action – along different lines – in order to finally resurface to your totally satisfying sexual life. This is something you and your partner deserve, and if you suffered like me, just forgot it’s there as your right. So go read the book right now and start applying techniques and lasting longer tonight!
